I'm The New Girl
Chapter 1
At some point every year, the teacher walks into the class room with a new kid. Everyone always waves, but nobody says high. Every year, the new kid sits alone at lunch, with nobody to talk to, with no friends. Every year, kids laugh when the new kid falls, not even asking if they are okay. Every year, I don't care about the new kids, but this year I do. Because I am the new kid.
Honestly, I never thought this day would come. Mom had always said,"Oh it would be so nice to live on a farm, wouldn't it Livie? We could have tons of cats, pigs, chickens, dogs. It would be the life." I would always sigh and say yeah, I guess so. Personally, I love New York City. It really is a great place to call my home, or my old home I guess. Every day, I would walk to school with my best friend, Maggie, who lived in the apartment building next to mine and we would get a snack together after school. On the other hand, Mom hated New York, and she still does. Ever scene Dad left, she hated the city. For it was my dads favorite place.
I remember when we first pulled up into the driveway of the ugly, old farm. Mom smiled, I just sat in the back seat, my mouth wide open. I knew Mom would be upset if I said anything to her, so I just kept quiet," Lets go check out this place!" Mom excitedly yelled. I followed her through the house that was covered in a thick coat of dust,"Oh honey! I forgot to tell you! You are going to be going to starting school tomorrow!"
"Already? But...."
"No buts. Anyways, the school bus will come for you-"
"What? A school bus? Can't I just walk?"
"Well, it would take a half an hour to walk, so I decided to sign you up to take the bus. That's okay, right?"
"NO! I-I-I don't want to take an ugly, yellow bus to school!"
"Well too bad! Go to your room!" Mom yelled at me.
"I don't even know where my room is!" I yelled back as I stomped up the spiral stair case.
